Love trains? Love history? Love New Mexico? If so, this adventure is just for you! This adventure will take you to the Galisteo Basin while our knowledgeable storytellers will entertain you with the history of this beautiful land complemented by live music.
The Lore of the Land Train departs and returns to the Santa Fe Depot. Each ticket includes a seat in our enclosed train cars, a complimentary champagne welcome as the adventure begins, and live entertainment! Additional snacks and drinks can be purchased.
You may also choose to upgrade to our first class car, The Acoma. The one and only original lounge car from the 1937 Super Chief. Enjoy the same luxury as some of the previous passengers – Judy Garland, Clark Gable and Jack Benny! The air conditioned Acoma with its curved couches and original art deco furnishings has limited spaces available and an elevated bar menu.
This train has no depot stop, you are onboard the duration of the ride. Outside food and drink are prohibited.
Our gang of long time friends really enjoyed the sunset tour on a fun vintage train. It was relaxing and the scenery was typically New Mexican, gorgeous. We stood outside on the open air car for most of the ride on a beautiful late afternoon. Would definitely do this again.
