Enjoy first-class service as we roll you and your family to the historic Legal Tender restaurant in Lamy, New Mexico. Originally built in 1881, the Legal Tender restaurant is a Lamy landmark. Experience a world-class brunch buffet while taking in the historic surroundings of this beautifully restored building.
The Lamy Brunch Run departs and returns to the Santa Fe Depot. Each ticket includes a drink ticket on the train, live music, brunch buffet and a drink ticket at Legal Tender. Drink tickets can be redeemed for bloody marys or mimosas. Additional snacks and drinks can be purchased.
You may also choose to upgrade to our first class car, The Acoma. The one and only original lounge car from the 1937 Super Chief. Enjoy the same luxury as some of the previous passengers – Judy Garland, Clark Gable and Jack Benny! The air conditioned Acoma with its curved couches and original art deco furnishings has limited spaces available and an elevated bar menu.
Our gang of long time friends really enjoyed the sunset tour on a fun vintage train. It was relaxing and the scenery was typically New Mexican, gorgeous. We stood outside on the open air car for most of the ride on a beautiful late afternoon. Would definitely do this again.
